Metal Roof Colors

Most municipalities in Rhode Island require structures over 200 SQFT (buildings larger than 10’x20’ or 12’x16’) to have a foundation as well as a permit.

Structures under 200 SQFT can typically be installed on cement blocks and anchored to the ground with hurricane tie downs.

Types of foundations:

A stone or gravel pad.
Cement footings, also known as sonotubes.
A concrete slab.

Double-wide garages require a level concrete foundation, preferably matching the structure's dimensions.

It is best to check with your municipality for the foundation requirements in your area.

Our single and double-wide garages come in a variety of widths:

Garage Length Options

The minimum length for a garage is 10 feet.
The maximum length for a garage is 48 feet.

Custom orders can be any length in between 10 feet and 48 feet, in 2-foot increments.

All garage sheds come standard with a solid (windowless) garage door that is 9' wide by 7' tall, except for our 10' wide garages, which come with an 8' wide and 6' 6" tall standard.

Engineered Wood

We utilize both Duratemp and LP Smartside engineered wood siding panels. The durability of both the engineered wood and high-quality ‘rubberized’ latex coating is perfectly suited to endure New England weather.

Board & Batten

Lakeside’s Board & Batten (B&B) consists of 4′-wide engineered wall panels with decorative MiraTEC “Battens”, creating the classic B&B look but with a weather-tight finish.

Vinyl

Traditional vinyl clapboard overlaid on house-grade plywood. Vinyl siding includes painted aluminum trim and flashing. Vinyl is most popular with those looking for zero-maintenance structures.

Del and the guys at Lakeside Trading were a pleasure to work with on the purchase and installation of my 8 x 16 Monterey shed. It was a tight squeeze down a side drive that was more of a goat path but they carefully got it through with no scratches or issues. I mean these guys waded through a tree line of hemlocks and a rain of needles down the back of the neck to keep the branches from damaging the shingles or siding. The site I prepared I thought was fairly level but was still a little high in the rear and they were able to adjust it on shims and blocks that were all included. It was a good experience front and back and I am loving it and the extra space in my garage already.

Needed a shed that mimic's our garage since that was becoming storage. Went with the 12x22 Cape with a few options (heavier floor, and center joists) overhang, copula, etc.. Lakeside also moved our existing shed, prior to placing the new one. Despite the 12-16 week lead time it was ready in I believe 8 (and I was not due to the fabulous New England Winters), delivery was scheduled for 9-11am, and they again showed up early. I live on a street where three of us got sheds from Lakeside Trading. I got a used one and my two neighbors got new sheds. I watched my unloading as well as that for my neighbors and the process was professional, exact, safe, and amazing every time. The care didn't differ between my used shed, my one neighbor's medium sized shed or the near garage sized shed on the other side. I bought used for value and price - not sure how long I'll be here or how long I need the shed. My neighbors bought new for long term. We are all happy...but sometimes I wish I had bought new. And, not to forget, it was less than a week between purchase and delivery. All in all, very very pleased and highly recommended.
