We recommend contacting your local building department for information on permits, zoning, and property line setbacks.

Typically, any structure in Rhode Island larger than 8’×8′ (64 sqft) is required to have a permit, and sheds larger than 200 sq. ft. (12×16/10×20 are just under) require cement footings (sonotubes) or a cement slab.

Lakeside is happy to help with schematic or diagrams, contractor license information, and foundation plans (if required) to make the permit process as smooth as possible. 

Yes! Our sheds and outdoor structures all come with a 10-year workmanship warranty that covers any manufacturing defects.

While your yard does not need to be wide enough for the delivery truck, we do need an opening at least as wide as the narrowest side of the shed.

We offer free on-site evaluations to walk through your options, what may be needed for delivery, etc. To schedule a complimentary site check, please send us an email.

Yes! We can haul your old shed away for you.

Please fill out the form on our service request page, and attach photos of the old shed. This will help us determine how best to remove and dispose of your old shed.

Delivery and installation are free with any shed or outdoor structure purchase in Rhode Island and the immediate surrounding area.

Some exclusions may apply for items less than $3,500, oversized wide loads, and deliveries to Block Island.

If the spot where your shed is going is fairly level (within 12”) the concrete blocks which we provide will work great as a foundation, and also allow air to pass underneath the shed, keeping the floor dry (very important for longevity of building!).

For spots more than 12” out of level, we like to come take a look ourselves or at least see pictures. To level the area out, we can add more larger blocks under the shed, build a stone pad, or do some light excavation.

Delivery speed on products varies greatly depending on a variety of factors including, but not limited to:

When interested in purchasing a delivered item, our team will communicate with you timelines most aligned with your purchase and purchasing time. We always do our best, to deliver goods as soon as we can.
